Christopher B asked: I’ve been having weird heart palpitations for the last four days. Today, I finally went to the ER, during my exams, I had stress test where I had some atrial arrhythmia’s…well those are the exact same sensations that I was having that brought me to the ER in the first place. Here’s the odd part the NO ONE could answer. I can induce the arrhythmia’s myself by humming or singing…even lightly. I know it sounds odd, but I proved it to the women doing my echocardiagram and she said “freaky”. When I mentioned this to the nurses and doctors they just kind of gave me patronizing answers, but here I am released with a diagnosis of “PACs” (premature atrial contractions), but with no explanations of why they have come on suddenly and how I am able to induce them vocally. Has anyone ever heard of something like this? Can you imagine if I have to live like this for the rest of my life? The worst part….I am a singer. Please help me, if you have ANY idea of what this could be. Thanks.
**The other thing I want to mention is that they have been happening too during regular speech just not with the same frequency, and then obviously again during the stress test during exertion.
