In terms of heart beat which contraction do you feel?

Friday, April 8th, 2011
student asked:

There’s atrial contraction and ventricle contraction, so when we feel or hear our heart beats are we feeling/hearing both atrial and ventricle contraction or just ventricle contraction since ventricle contraction is much more forceful?

Where can I get published references on this, without having to search journals?

Is my baby OK? or he/she in danger?

Monday, April 4th, 2011
psttt asked:

today i saw a message from my pregnant girlfriend
” saw the dr today bout ri’s heart. she has premature atrial contractions & premature ventricular contractions. this means a normal heart has a beat from top chamber then bottom chamber in ri’s case she has extra from both. also a baby at ri’s stage should have a heart rate 130-160, hers is 150-180. her heart rate plus t…he heartbeat things could be signs of some kind of heart disease.”

i don’t get it. is my baby OK or not?
