Heart ablation or maze?

I am considering having an ablation or maze procedure on my heart because I have atrial fibrillation about every six months and have an electro cardioversion to get it normal.. Has anyone had the proceedure done.. and if so what were your results and opinion of the proceedure?

    For my dad to go on blood thinners for while which he refuses to have worked with cardiologists and heart surgeons in the past my dad to do wish you luck.

    You only have a fib every 6 months? No if it was me I would not get it done.
