You don’t have to have any particular major. But I would suggest biology as the only logical choice.
After you get your B.S (which takes 4 years) then you need to apply to medical school. Then there is residency and internship.
This whole process takes about a decade.

The classes needed for admission to specialize the whole thing takes at least three years in biology or chemistry you finally get your md you must take all the classes needed for admission to specialize.
